About the event
Welcome to this 5 Week Qigong, Sun Ceremony blending of two nature-based traditions. Classes will be online via ZOOM on Sundays 10am EST Mar 17, Mar 24, Apr 7, Apr 14, Apr 21 All classes are recorded and can be downloaded.
I'm bringing to you a unique way to create a daily ritual that combines a Sun Ceremony of gratitude with Qigong. In this 5 week program, you will learn a ritual of acknowledgement and gratitude combined with qigong movement which correspond to the five element organ systems. I learned the Sun Ceremony from Diane Longboat of the Mohawk Nation, Turtle Clan, a traditional teacher from Six Nations Grand River Territory, Canada. She asked us to take the beauty of this indigenous wisdom and integrate it with our own spiritual tradition. For me that is Daoism. And I wish to acknowledge with gratitude her teaching and wisdom.
I this series which combines the spirit of the 7 directions and their wisdom for daily living with Wuxing Moving Qigong of Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water. I do this practice EVERY morning to open up my body and to balance the Yin and Yang energy within. When we open space within our body and mind, then the Qi can flow. We can start to live from a place of equanimity and soft response to our world rather than unconscious reactivity in our body mind and spirit.
