Online 5-Wk Qigong Morning Ritual

About the event

Welcome to this 5 Week Qigong series with a beautiful nature-based tradition of opening up the body with gratitude and appreciation of each of the fundamental elements of our being: Wood, Fire, Metal, Water and Earth.  Classes will be online via ZOOM on Sundays 10am EST  Mar 17, Mar 24, Apr 7, Apr 14, Apr 21 (no class Mar 31st).  All classes are recorded and can be downloaded.  Zoom link sent after payment contribution is received.

I'm bringing to you a unique way to create a daily ritual that blends the classical Chinese Qigong of Wu Xing (5 elments) with the guidance each element can bring us in our day. In this 5 week program, you will learn a ritual of acknowledgement and gratitude combined with qigong movement which correspond to the five element organ systems.  You can do it with the rising sun if inspired or just as your morning routine.

The inspiration for this series comes from from Diane Longboat of the Mohawk Nation, Turtle Clan, a traditional teacher from Six Nations Grand River Territory, Canada.  She taught us her Traditional Sun Ceremony and asked us to take the beauty of this indigenous wisdom and integrate it with our own spiritual tradition.  For me that is Daoism.  And I wish to acknowledge with gratitude her teaching and wisdom.

I do this practice EVERY morning to open up my body and to balance the Yin and Yang energy within.  When we open space within our body and mind, then the Qi can flow.  We can start to live from a place of equanimity and soft response to our world rather than unconscious reactivity in our body mind and spirit.
