Let yourself be silently drawn by the strange pull of what you really love. It will not lead you astray. ~Rumi

My vision as a practitioner is to support you in the fullness of your uniqueness as a person on all levels.  I aim to support you in healing from pain, discomfort and suffering in order to find joy and wellness.  It is often so difficult in our Western medical culture to feel truly heard and understood in our concerns and as a whole person.  In addition to Acupuncture and related modalities, I fully believe in the healing powers of each person.  I will provide  you tailored home practices such as Qi Gong, guided meditations, lifestyle, and Chinese medicine nutritional suggestions to help in the healing journey.

How Chinese medicine Supports Healing: and Wellbeing

I am passionate about the beauty of Chinese Medicine. It has helped me in my wellness journey with sacroiliac pain and osteoporosis.  I look forward to partnering with you to help support you with your health and well-being using the principles of Chinese Medicine to identify where imbalances are creating distress. I also will work with you to obtain tools you can use on your own to help care for yourself through lifestyle balance, exercise, nutrition, meditation and reflective practices.

If you are interested in learning more, I'd love to hear from you here. I also provide resources and via this website and periodically I post practices for wellbeing on my Reflective Practices page.

The Medicine of Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a medicine built upon 2500 years of collected experience treating patients with the principles of Chinese Medicine. It sees the body as having tremendous powers of healing when it is in balance. Sometimes though, our genetics, our lifestyle, and life events, knock that delicate balance off center.  Acupuncture and Chinese medicine modalities help to support your body's own amazing ability to heal.  When we re-establish balance and the right relationship in our physical, mental and spiritual ways of being, then health and well being can occur.

Our life force is a precious resource to use wisely over the course of our lives (Jarrett, 1999). The trick is to accomplish our endeavors by drawing upon acquired energy from good nutrition, plenty of rest, restorative exercise and low stress.  Our modern world exerts many pressures on us that can dig into the principle instead of living on the interest!  Acupuncture helps regulate the energy which moves us every day, physically, mentally and spiritually.

"I feel the treatments are based on my individual needs and a unique plan for me.  It relaxes me when the needles are inserted into various points and some needles are retained longer than others.  During this time I can feel my body making adjustments to restore balance, harmony, and vitality.  After a treatment, I feel relaxed, calmer, and more at ease. For a while afterward, I can feel my body adjust to the changes.

Jan has experienced the transformation results of Acupuncture and is passionate about sharing the amazing benefits of this medicine with others."
