Let yourself be silently drawn by the strange pull of what you really love. It will not lead you astray. ~Rumi

My vision as a practitioner is to support you in the fullness of your uniqueness as a person on all levels.  I aim to support you in healing from pain, discomfort and suffering in order to find joy and wellness.  It is often so difficult in our Western medical culture to feel truly heard and understood in our concerns and as a whole person.  In addition to Acupuncture and related modalities, I fully believe in the healing powers of each person.  I will provide  you tailored home practices such as Qi Gong, guided meditations, lifestyle, and Chinese medicine nutritional suggestions to help in the healing journey.

How Daoist Philosophy Supports Healing and Wellbeing

I'm passionate about the Daoist philosophy of the universe and the human place it it.  And I am passionate about the beauty of qigong in helping open up and relax the body and mind.

Daoist philosophy, sees all things, including the human, as a microcosm of the greater universe.  This view provides a unique lens into our healing from a foundational existential and spiritual level.  "As below, so above" is the saying.  For example, when we see how cold works in nature we can understand how it might also exhibit in ourselves.  For example, neck pain.  Yes, you are bent over your computer and devices.  But are you also sitting under an annoying office AC unit even in winter?  In nature, we see that cold constricts and when it creeps into us it also constricts and stagnates the flow of energy and can result in pain.  So we need to warm up, wear a scarf in this instance. Both qigong and the Daoist view of health have given me keys in for my own journey to finding more ease through a divorce, through a 30 year low back dysfunction, and through osteoporosis.

Both qigong and the Daoist view of health have given me keys in for my own journey to finding more ease through a divorce, through a 30 year low back dysfunction, and through osteoporosis. When we re-establish balance and the right relationship in our physical, mental and spiritual ways of being, then health and well being can occur.

"Our life force is a precious resource to use wisely over the course of our lives" (Jarrett, 1999). The trick is to accomplish our endeavors by drawing upon acquired energy from good nutrition, plenty of rest, restorative exercise and low stress.  Our modern world exerts many pressures on us that can dig into the principle instead of living on the interest!  Qigong helps regulate the energy which moves us every day, physically, mentally and spiritually.
